At alittlehelp, I understand that every mother-baby journey is unique.

The time following the birth of your baby, while much anticipated, is often challenging. There is so much information out there that is meant to help you feel prepared, but in the end, it all just feels overwhelming.

I would like to offer a little help to support you during these sometimes difficult days. I provide a home visiting service as I know it can be hard to be out and about, especially in the early days after having a baby. I also have a clinic if you would prefer to come to me.

After first hearing about your concerns, I will ask you lots of questions to gain a deeper understanding of what is happening for you and your baby. This will also involve finding out about your pregnancy, your birth and the early days and weeks of feeding your baby, as all this information is relevant.

I want to walk with you, and together we’ll make a plan that works for you.

Whether you’re navigating the early days of breastfeeding or have other feeding and parenting difficulties, I’d love to help!

About alittlehelp

With over 30 years of experience supporting breastfeeding mothers and being in private practice ‘alittlehelp’ since 2012, I have gained a deep understanding of the challenges that new parents face. This has come from listening to many mothers over the years.

I would like to help make this time of huge transition to not feel so overwhelming for you and your family. Whether you’ve just had your first baby or you’re expanding your family, I acknowledge that every mother-baby pair has their own unique feeding journey. For mothers who have breastfed before, it can often be a very different experience when feeding subsequent babies, which can come as a surprise.

As an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant, I have many roles. I am a healthcare worker, your coach as well as being one of your support crew. As we get to know each other, part of my role is being your counsellor too.

It is always a privilege to be asked to support a new family. I would like to offer a little help to build your confidence with parenting your baby. Please give yourself time and compassion as you adjust to your new role.

Some challenges may not be about feeding, but other parenting issues. I value being both an IBCLC and Child Health Nurse as this combined knowledge enables me to support you with other parenting concerns.

My goal at alittlehelp is to respectfully and mindfully support you to feel more empowered in your parenting role. I understand you know what you are needing and also that you know your baby better than anyone else.
