alittlehelp is a Brisbane lactation consultant and parent support service for families with babies, from newborns through to the toddler years.
The time following the birth of your baby, while much anticipated, is often challenging. There is so much information out there that is meant to help you feel prepared, but in the end, it all just feels overwhelming.
At alittlehelp, I understand that every mother-baby journey is unique. I would like to offer a little help, using a compassionate and personal approach, to support you during these sometimes difficult days. I provide a home visiting service and come to you. I understand it’s hard to be out and about with a new baby. After first gaining an understanding of your concerns, I want to work alongside you, offering suggestions and guidance in the comfort of your home. Whether you’re navigating the early days of breastfeeding or have other feeding difficulties, I’m here to support you.
Some challenges may not be about feeding, but other parenting issues. I value being both an IBCLC and Child Health Nurse as this combined knowledge enables me to support you with many parenting concerns. The adjustment to parenthood is huge! During this time of change, if you’re needing someone to talk to, I'm here to listen and offer practical advice, emotional support, and a little help tailored to meet your specific needs. My goal at alittlehelp is to help you feel more confident in your parenting role, acknowledging the challenges and supporting your decisions as you navigate the transition to motherhood. Please give yourself time and compassion to adjust to your new role.
With over 30 years of experience supporting breastfeeding mothers and being in private practice ‘A Little Help’ for the past 12 years, I have a deep understanding of the challenges that new parents face. I am committed to helping make your transition to parenthood smoother and more joyful for you and your family. Whether you’ve just had your first baby or you’re expanding your family, alittlehelp is here to acknowledge that every mother-baby pair has their own unique feeding journey. For mothers who have breastfed before, it may be a very different experience with subsequent babies.
As an IBCLC at alittlehelp, I have many roles: healthcare worker, coach, cheerleader, support crew, and counsellor. I am dedicated to supporting you every step of the way. Please enable me to offer a little help so you can build the confidence you need to thrive as a parent. We all need a little help sometimes.
